PRIMARY WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT
Primary filter
PVS primary wastewater plants are used for solids removal
(up to 50% BOD5 reduction) in municipal and industrial wastewater by means of micro belt filtration.
Depending on the local legal situation, they are used as direct dischargers or indirectly by upstream connection to a biological wastewater plant.
Depending on the filter belt installed, selective sharpening
of 60-4000 µm are achieved.
Even with highly fluctuating inlet loads, automatic operation is possible by means of frequency-controlled conveyor belt speeds in coordination with a permanent level detection in the inlet chamber.
Filtered solids are automatically dewatered and discharged. Completely enclosed design with exhaust air connection (optional with exhaust air treatment) and belt cleaning system by compressed air or water flushing.
Application:
Instead of primary sedimentation basin or an upstream relief stage of biology at wastewater treatment plants. The inlet loads are reduced up to 50% BOD5 and for solids up to 90%.
In the case of plant expansion or re-fitting, the low space requirement is a significant additional advantage. In case of indoor installation and the presence of a levelled foundation, no construction measures are necessary.
