FLOATING MIXER
fast running and made of stainless steel
The mixer is used in a wide range of applications where intensive mixing without oxygen transfer is required. When developing the mixer, the following requirements had to be met:
- Robust and simple design
- Minimal maintenance requirements
- Simple installation
- Good mixing performance at lowest specific electrical power
- High turbulence under the liquid surface
- Maximum stabilization of the liquid surface to avoid oxygen ingress
- Achieve mixing that is compatible with the flow models of other PVS devices to allow combinations of aerators and mixers with the highest performance
Based on the well-known PVS aeration technology, which has proven its reliability, performance, simplicity of construction and much more, the design of the mixer has been largely influenced by the application of the unique principle of a screw centrifugal impeller.
The mixer is composed of components of the familiar aerator, but in a new design. The motor is mounted directly concentrically on the float and the centrifugal impeller, which is located centrally under the float, is mounted directly on the motor shaft.
The direction of rotation is the reverse of that of the aerator, i.e. the liquid is drawn in radially along the liquid surface through the mixer and pressed through the impeller to the bottom of the basin. This results in a radial movement towards the edges of the basin and along these back to the surface of the liquid.
In this way, an ideal mixing of the liquid is obtained, with reduced specific power without oxygen supply.
Thanks to the floating design of this device, the following additional advantages are obtained:
- Flexibility in terms of location in the pool and extended expansion possibilities;
- Easy installation;
- Fluctuating liquid level possible;
- Minimal installation and maintenance costs.
